Women and their will for change that will make a difference in climate change policy! In order to make women’s voices heard, genanet – focal point gender, environment and sustainability organised a photo shooting in a market place in the centre of Berlin at the International women’s Day 2007: “Women protect the climate – women demand climate protection”. The campaign was very successful, and it was expanded to the international level.

On the occasion of the G8-Summit in Heiligendamm 2007 genanet in cooperation with the Working Group Women in the German NGO Forum on Environment & Development called upon women from all over the world to declare their messages to the heads of the G8 (+5) states. The results were printed to postcards and were handed over to heads of states. An exhibition with some of the photos was shown at conferences and meetings, recently in the exhibition area of COP13 in Bali.
