Global Fund for Women
The Global Fund for Women is an international network of women and men committed to a world of equality and social justice. We advocate for and defend women's human rights by making grants to support women's groups around the world.

UNDP Energy and Environment
UNDP is the UN's global development network, an organization advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life. We are on the ground in 166 countries, working with them on their own solutions to global and national development challenges.

UNEP Gender and the Environment
UNEP is working to highlight the important role that women play in sustainable development. UNEP recognizes gender as a cross-cutting priority, and its programme of work promotes women’s participation in all environmental protection and sustainable development activities. Gender equality is now a cross-cutting priority in all UNEP activities, and the organization is systematically integrating gender perspectives into all its programme design and implementation, along with measurable goals and indicators.

In the inner city of Johannesburg, there is a neighborhood called Hillbrow which is infamous for overcrowded accommodations and high unemployment and crime. In the midst of the intense urban hustle, there is a park that has become an oasis for the people living nearby. The GreenHouse Project has arisen to serve this community.

Organisation genanet is a project of the organisation LIFE - Women develop ecotechnology. The organisation seated in Berlin: * promotes environmental protection and equal opportunites for women and men in skilled trades, science and technology. - develops new educational concepts, with environmental protection forming an integral part of all areas of training. - forges links between environmental and feminist politics and organises women's networks to promote equality of opportunity in the environmental sector and on the labour market. - cooperates with many other countries in Europe.

Gender and Disaster Network
The Gender and Disaster Network is an educational project initiated by women and men interested in gender relations in disaster contexts. It emerged from an early morning meeting during the July 1997 Natural Hazards Research and Applications Center workshop in Denver, Colorado.

Global Forest Coalition

SOPAC
SOPAC is the Pacific Islands Applied Geoscience Commission. It is an inter-governmental, regional organisation dedicated to providing services to promote sustainable development in the countries it serves. SOPAC’s work is carried out through its Secretariat, based in Suva. The work programme is reviewed annually by the Governing Council assisted by: Secretariat representatives, a Technical Advisory Group (TAG), and a Science, Technology and Resources Network (STAR).

The Gender and Water Alliance
The Gender and Water Alliance (GWA) was established at the Second World Water Forum (WWF) in March 2000. The mission of GWA is to promote women's and men's equitable access to and management of safe and adequate water, for domestic supply, sanitation, food security and environmental sustainability.

WECF - Women in Europe for a Common Future
Women in Europe for a Common Future - WECF - was created in 1994 following the 1992 Rio Earth Summit, to give women a stronger voice in sustainable development and environmental policy, with the aim of balancing environmental, health and economic perspectives. WEDO - Women's Environment & Development Organization
WEDO was established in 1990 by former U.S. Congresswoman Bella Abzug (1920-1998) and feminist activist and journalist Mim Kelber (1922-2004). Since its inception, WEDO has been a leader in organizing women for international conferences and actions.

WOCAN - Women Organizing for Change in Agriculture and Natural Resource Management

Bridge - In Brief
BRIDGE supports gender advocacy and mainstreaming efforts of policymakers and practitioners by bridging the gaps between theory, policy and practice with accessible and diverse gender information. BRIDGE was set up in 1992 as a specialised gender and development research and information service within the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), United Kingdom (UK). This was on the initiative of the Development Assistance Committee of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD/DAC) Working Party on Gender Equality (now the Gendernet). BRIDGE is one of a family of knowledge services from IDS.
