Participatory Methods

Tools for Development is a manual from which to pick and choose: you may need to employ different skills at different times or several skills at the same time. Some are more likely to be employed at the outset, or in the design stage. Some skills may be employed once; others will need to be revisited and may be revised as the activity or intervention continues. Chapter 7 focuses on participatory methods.

DFID - Tools for Development

The practitioner's manual is meant to be placed on many virtual bookshelves: on that of the inexperienced person who sets first steps into the challenging world of participation as well as on that of the experienced practitioner, who uses this manual for specific sections, such as tips and tricks, or to get acquainted with other methods.

Gender Training

To meet the demand for improving skills in gender and climate change, and to build up a pool of trainers in different regions and countries, the Global Gender and Climate Alliance (GGCA) has developed the present training manual. The purpose of presenting the concepts in this manual is to increase the capacity of policy and decision makers so that efforts to mitigate and adapt to climate change are gender-sensitive.
