The Center for Universal Education has published a new report on the correlation between girls' education and empowerment and climate preparedness. Not only are women and girls more likely to die or be injured in natural disasters, but they also are more likely to have to deal with the consequences, by fetching water, or having to rebuild villages and sanitation systems which hinders girls' ability to go to school. This article describes this correlation, as well as the report's three platforms for education to improve women and girls' climate resilience.
