This publication highlights the States’ Obligations under the CEDAW (Convention on the
Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women) in the Context of Climate Change.
it emphasises on the threats like gender-based violence; migration and forced displacement; the right to health; and the right to an adequate standard of livin, that rural women  of all ages face due to climate change.
The draft General Recommendation stresses on alleviating and mitigating these threats and ensure that rural women enjoy a safe, cleanand healthy environment.
