The Global Environmental Facility (GEF) council held its 54th meeting from 24-26 June 2018 in Da Nang, Vietnam. More than 500 representatives of governments, international organizations and civil society organizations (CSOs) took part in the meeting and amongst others passed a new Gender Implementation Strategy, which identifies three “gender gaps” and corresponding strategic entry points, contains four priority action areas and introduces a “gender tagging system”.
