Indigenous Women’s Forum: A Reunion of Climate Frontline Protectors

Indigenous women around the world are impacted first by climate change and environmental destruction due to big infrastructure projects. Even though these women face an intersection of different forms of structual discrimination such as colonalism, racism and patriachy and, they are one of the leading forces to fight against the effects of climate change. In order to take action, to  find solutions and to connect women from different countries and communities, the Indigenous Women Protecting Earth, Rights, and Communities Forum was held on the 26th of April 2017 in New York.
