New report from IRENA : Renewable energy from a gender perspective

The International Renewable Energy Agency published a new report about renewable energy from a gender perspective. Women represent only 32% in the renewable energy workforce. However, the global energy transition is an opportunity to transform this sector to be more gender-responsive. The report analyses the modern energy context and its access through a gender point of view, highlighting barriers such as perception of gender roles, cultural and social norms and also prevailing hiring practices. Then they propose concrete policies and solutions to cope with those challenges.
